Anxiety Disorders

Calm the Mind. Empower the Self.

Anxiety disorders are the most prevalent mental health conditions in the United States, affecting an estimated 31.1% of adults at some point in their lives, according to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).

At Psych Pro Center, we offer personalized, evidence-based treatment for anxiety, recognizing that no two individuals experience it in the same way. Our approach combines proven therapeutic modalities tailored to meet each client’s unique needs and goals.

Treatment Approaches May Include:

  • Exposure-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Designed to gradually reduce avoidance behaviors and desensitize anxiety-related triggers through structured, goal-oriented interventions.
  • Mindfulness-Based Techniques
Used to cultivate present-moment awareness, reduce automatic stress responses, and improve emotional regulation.
  • Reality-Based Therapy
Focused on building coping skills, enhancing problem-solving abilities, and applying practical strategies to real-life situations.

Our goal is to address both the emotional and physiological components of anxiety, helping clients regain a sense of control, build long-term resilience, and find lasting relief.

Common Symptoms We Treat:

  • Persistent, excessive worry that is disproportionate to actual circumstances
  • Restlessness, agitation, or difficulty concentrating
  • Sleep disturbances or insomnia linked to anxiety
  • Panic disorder symptoms, including chest tightness, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, and a sense of losing control

Depressive Disorders

A light in the darkness

Depression is more than just sadness—it is a neurobiological condition that affects mood, motivation, cognition, and even physical health. At Psych Pro Center, we offer an integrated, individualized approach to depression treatment that aligns with your specific symptoms, preferences, and comfort level.

Our clinicians often draw from a combination of proven therapeutic modalities, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT):
Helps identify and reframe negative automatic thoughts that contribute to feelings of hopelessness or self-doubt.
  • Interpersonal Therapy (IPT):
Focuses on improving communication, addressing unresolved grief, and strengthening relationships to increase emotional support.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR):
When appropriate, EMDR may be used to process trauma-related experiences that exacerbate depressive symptoms.

Signs you may benefit from professional services:

  • A persistently low or depressed mood lasting more than two weeks
  • Anhedonia (loss of interest or pleasure in previously enjoyable activities)
  • Noticeable changes in appetite, weight, or sleep patterns
  • Thoughts of self-harm, hopelessness, or suicidal ideation

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) & Trauma

Trauma and PTSD can affect anyone who has experienced a deeply distressing or disturbing event. Whether the trauma stems from combat, first responder service, interpersonal violence, or other life-threatening situations, its impact can be profound—and often silent.

At Psych Pro Center, we are committed to helping individuals reclaim their lives by starting with a clear and compassionate diagnosis, followed by evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment.

Unresolved trauma can disrupt relationships, impair daily functioning, and lead to physical and emotional exhaustion. Our experienced team includes EMDRIA-certified clinicians who guide patients through safe, structured reprocessing to reduce the intensity of traumatic memory triggers.

While talk therapy remains the foundation of PTSD treatment, we stay informed on emerging modalities and plan to integrate new FDA-approved treatments as they become available, including those currently in Phase 3 clinical trials.

Evidence-Based Treatment Modalities We Offer:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR):
Delivered in accordance with the EMDRIA Eight-Phase Protocol, EMDR helps desensitize and reprocess traumatic memories safely and effectively.
  • Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE):
A structured, evidence-based approach that gradually reduces avoidance and desensitizes individuals to trauma-related triggers through repeated, controlled exposure.
  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT):
Particularly effective for children, adolescents, and adults with trauma histories, TF-CBT combines psychoeducation, cognitive restructuring, and stress-reduction techniques to help individuals process trauma, reduce distress, and regain a sense of safety and control.

Bipolar Disorder

Effectively managing bipolar disorder requires a coordinated, integrative treatment plan that addresses both emotional regulation and daily functioning.

At Psych Pro Center, we focus on helping individuals achieve long-term stability through a combination of psychoeducation, routine mood tracking, and medication adherence.

Our team works closely with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and therapists to monitor mood cycles and support each patient in reaching their personal goals—emotionally, socially, and professionally.

Evidence-Based Interventions Include:

  • Mood Stabilizing Medications
Such as lithium or lamotrigine, prescribed and monitored by a licensed psychiatrist to reduce the frequency and intensity of mood episodes.
  • Family-Focused Therapy (FFT)
Designed to educate loved ones, improve communication, and enhance medication compliance and support within the home environment.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – Bipolar Modules
Helps individuals identify early warning signs of mood shifts, establish healthy routines, and develop personalized strategies for emotional resilience.

Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)

Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is a complex mental health condition marked by intense emotional experiences, unstable interpersonal relationships, impulsivity, and identity disturbances. Individuals with BPD often struggle to manage their emotions and maintain consistent connections with others.

At Psych Pro Center, we specialize in the treatment of BPD through comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)—an evidence-based approach shown to significantly reduce emotional distress, self-harming behaviors, and interpersonal conflict.

Our DBT program includes:

  • Weekly individual therapy sessions
  • Skills training groups
  • Between-session coaching for crisis support and skills application
  • Therapist consultation team to ensure fidelity and consistency in care

We are committed to going above and beyond to support the growth and stability of our patients.

DBT Skills Modules Covered:

  • Mindfulness
Develop present-moment awareness and reduce emotional reactivity.
  • Distress Tolerance
Learn effective strategies for managing crises without resorting to harmful behaviors.

  • Emotion Regulation
Understand, label, and manage intense emotions in healthier ways.

Grief Counseling

Healing after the loss of a loved one is a deeply personal journey—and it’s not one you have to face alone. At Psych Pro Center, we offer evidence-based grief counseling to support individuals navigating both normal bereavement and more complicated or prolonged grief responses.

Our clinicians have extensive experience helping individuals process grief in all its forms. We provide a safe, compassionate environment where patients are supported as they work through loss and begin the process of emotional healing.

When left unaddressed, unresolved grief can significantly impair daily functioning and emotional well-being. Through the use of Complicated Grief Treatment (CGT) and meaning-centered narrative therapy, we help patients honor their loved ones, make sense of their loss, and gradually re-engage with life in a meaningful way.

Common Grief-Related Issues We Address:

  • Persistent yearning or longing for the deceased
  • Feelings of guilt, anger, or unresolved emotional conflict
  • Difficulty returning to work, parenting, or daily responsibilities
  • Avoidance of reminders, places, or conversations connected to the loss
